A Bar of Their Own
WISE Twin Cities and A Bar of Their Own hosted a celebration of women’s sports, highlighted by a panel of executives from local women’s sports teams. Guests enjoyed wonderful food, networking with other WISE TC members, and a panel that made everyone excited for what’s to come for women’s sports.
There were many great insights from our panelists, including:
“It all starts with intentionality. To cultivate a pathway or pipeline you have to create that … There is more than one way to get into sports but we have to be very intentional about creating the opportunities for that.” – Jessica Poole
“It’s not just about the impact we have on girls, it’s about the impact we have on boys and really anybody. Women are capable of inspiring the world and women’s athletics really show what is possible. We are helping to raise the next generation of enlightened girls and boys.” – Carley Knox
