WISE Twin Cities 2nd Annual Women of Inspiration Award Recipients

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN - (November 14th, 2019) – On November 11, WISE Twin Cities hosted our 2nd annual Women of Inspiration Luncheon. About 200 people gathered at A’BULAE to celebrate the 2019 award winners.

The program was hosted by Paul Allen (Sports Commentator and Voice of the Minnesota Vikings) and featured an overview of the growth and reach of WISE Twin Cities as well as a recap of our mentorship program.

Courtney Cronin (NFL Nation Reporter - Minnesota Vikings) joined us as the keynote speaker and talked about her experience when she was starting out in the sports industry and how to overcome a hit to your confidence.

The second half of the program was spent honoring and celebrating the award winners.

This year we gave out our first ever Inspiration Award to late professional runner Gabriele “Gabe” Grunewald. Her sister Abby Anderson accepted the award and spoke about Gabe’s legacy and the work that the Brave Like Gabe Foundation is doing to raise money for rare cancer research.

Head Coach Jamie Trachsel accepted the Women in Sports award for the University of Minnesota Softball Team. She talked about the team’s historic trip to the Women’s College World Series and how proud she is of the success the team has had in the classroom.
